Beyond the individual‐level conceptualization of dispositional resistance to change: Multilevel effects on the response to organizational change

Abstract We know much about the factors that determine employees' responses to organizational change. Among these, key are those have do with personal dispositions and context. In present study, we focus on dispositional resistance change demonstrate how it can be used at collective level as a means of characterizing organizations rather than individuals. Specifically, use capture organizations' orientation toward its effects above beyond individuals' resistance. Using data from 84 principals 395 teachers, complementary roles employees', principals', in predicting attitudes introduction changes organization. discuss implications our findings for understanding more broadly notion translating variables level.
